Victorian Chaise Longue.

This shabby Chaise Longue arrived and really was a ‘touch and go’ piece. It was clearly in a very sorry state. Borer had had a field day and the whole structure was compromised as a result. Once again this was a piece that had been around the family for generations and was destined to take pride of place in the customers new home. It had to be done!

The only components that I could salvage can be seen in the penultimate photograph and the rest had to be re-made. In order to maintain some integrity in the repair, the timber used was taken from an old piano, machined, shaped and carefully fitted, to recreate the wonderful shape of the original.
